News Flash

Stinks like rotten fish under your armpits

CU Amiga Magazine, a bastion of the UK Amiga community, announced yesterday (13th August), that the magazine will cease publication with the October issue.

Skip to the news bit for more, and an interview with Neil Bothwick.

1000 Hits

We've now passed the 1000 hits mark! We're well bruised now :) Thanks dudes & dudettes !! Y'all keep coming on back now, y'hear ? We update very regularly :). Not bad for a user group that's been around for only 5 months, with this site only 4 months old.

Thanks again from all at SEAL!

What's New has moved like snot from a dribbly nose further down this page. It's important, so read it ! (just don't eat it :)

Who Are We?

Basically, we`re a bunch of Amiga freaks, who got together due to the inspiration of Mick Sutton ("sicky")

We formed SEAL for a few reasons, and guess what ? Here they are :)

  • To party on down with other Amiga users in our area.
  • To help each other out as much as possible with our different areas of knowledge and expertise with the Amiga.
  • To help out (and be helped), Amigans worldwide, and generally keep in touch.
  • To educate, inform, entertain, and promote the Amiga ethos.
  • We`ll be offering our views on all matters to the world, you lucky people :)
  • And swapping knitting patterns ! :)

SEAL meets monthly on a Friday evening at our venue, we also have weekly get-togethers at member's houses, where things usually get pretty rude & rowdy :)

The Amiga is our computer of choice mainly because it`s the most configurable platform yet, and let`s us all pursue our different interests easily and powerfully. The computer is our prisoner, we're not prisoners of it, 'cos it ain't Windoze.

AMIGA - The Survivor! SEAL commandos are diverse in our amiga interests:

  • Photograghy
  • 3D gfx & animation
  • Graphics
  • Programming
  • DTP
  • Internet
  • Gaming
  • Music
  • etc etc......

What's New

New Counter

We've whacked in a new counter which tells us info. about YOU, like your credit card no., colour of your undies, automatically search and download all the naughty pictures on your hard-drive, and what you do late at night while watching "Topless Darts" on Live! tv :). O.K., it's not like Internet Explorer, it only tells us what browser you're using, and other boring analytical stuff :) If you're interested to see what information it makes up just click on the counter icon.

OY !! We put the new counter in at count 1065, so all the stuff (apart from the count), is only from the 9th of August.

Meeting Info.

What depravities have happened at our hall meetings so far ?? See What's Up

CyberStorm PPC review

Find out why Rhino has the biggest, fastest, beast of all of us at the Projects page, with naked pics !!

Website Re-Design

We've overhauled the site design, to change the grafx ('cos we get bored if it looks the same all the time too), and make things a bit easier to handle & get around.

Amiga History, World map and our new reviews section have been moved onto the new Projects page. On the News page the larger thingies have been beamed onto seperate pages so the main page isn't so Godzilla. I know someone who'se wife calls it "Gigantor", but mine's "Godzilla" (formerly known as "Stanley" ...as in power drills :). I wish. There's also a simpler layout for the sub-pages under News and Projects which leaves us more room for waffling on.

Abuse Rhino & rusty if you have any comments or suggestions on the site and abuse Rhino if you find any broken links or bad HTML. Abuse Sicky just for the hell of it, 'cos he enjoys it, and as a West Ham fan, deserves it anyway :)

Venue Map

Here's a map showing you how where to send your hit men, at the What's Up page.

Made with Amiga! Thanks to Bowie J. Poag, author of ArcsPack Vol. 1-17 for letting us use some of his funky gfx in our web-site. His art can be found on AmiNET (pix/icon).
